Our Health and Safety Commitment

At Equalizer LTD, we are fully committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all individuals acting under or for the company, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation.

Our aim is to maintain the highest possible standards of health, safety, and environmental management across all areas of operation—both on our premises and wherever work is undertaken on our behalf.

Our Health and Safety Objectives

To achieve these aims, Equalizer LTD will ensure that:

  • All company activities are thoroughly assessed, managed, and conducted in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Risk assessments are completed, reviewed, and implemented appropriately to control and minimise risk in all work environments.

  • Safe working practices are promoted at all times for employees, contractors, and visitors.

 

Our Responsibilities and Practices

  • Under the leadership and sole direction of the Managing Director, Oliver Smith, Equalizer LTD will:

  • Foster open communication, cooperation, and consultation on all matters related to health and safety.

  • Empower staff and contractors to raise concerns and intervene when health and safety risks are identified.

  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment, including safe access and exit routes.

  • Ensure all individuals receive adequate information, instruction, training, and supervision to carry out their duties safely.

  • Maintain all vehicles, tools, equipment, and systems in safe working order.

  • Ensure safe handling, storage, transport, and disposal of all materials and substances used by the company.

  • Engage only competent contractors and suppliers, following a clear selection and assessment process.

  • Consult external experts where necessary to ensure best practice and legal compliance.

 

Implementation and Communication

  • All staff, subcontractors, and trainees will be made aware of this Health and Safety Policy and their responsibilities within it.

  • The locations of first aid kits, firefighting equipment, alarms, and emergency exits will be clearly communicated.

  • Staff will be instructed on procedures for reporting incidents, defects, and emergencies.

  • Good housekeeping and safe working conditions will be promoted throughout all workplaces.

  • Feedback and suggestions for improving health and safety are actively encouraged.

  • All relevant Health & Safety documentation will be distributed, explained, and supported through training.

 

Review and Accountability

This Health & Safety Policy will be reviewed annually or as required to reflect changes in legislation or operational practice.

Oliver Smith, Managing Director, holds sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with this policy and all related health and safety matters within Equalizer LTD.
